Welcome to
      Indiana Quarter Horse Racing

Quarter Horse racing has been in existence since the 1950's.
The Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana has been a big part of that existence.

All of our Members, Owners, Breeders, Trainers, Jockeys, and Fans share a passion for the powerful Quarter Horses that race at the Indiana Grand Race Course in Shelbyville Indiana.

You are invited to enjoy the breathtaking excitement and remarkable lifestyle created by the world's most popular and most loved horse.

Whether you're a seasoned horse racing veteran and need to make a nomination for your favorite horse, a fan of the race track, or just a backyard horse enthusiast wanting a race schedule we will make strenuous efforts toward providing the information you need.

We also invite you to become a Member of the Quarter Horse Racing Association of Indiana. A membership will benefit you in countless ways and QHRAI will, with your support, continue to be a positive and powerful advocate for Indiana racing.

Browse our website and feel free to contact us with any questions or suggestions.

AQHA Tattooer,

It's that time of year to start getting ready for upcoming racing season. I'm starting to plan trips to farms in Indiana, Michigan and possibly Illinois. I will start making trips to different areas in each state starting the first full week in March. If you'd like to see if you can be added to the trips to Indiana, trip to Michigan and possibly a trip to Illinois to have your horses tattooed. Send the number of horses to be done and location of your farm. I will also be arranging dates that I will be at Indiana Grand.
For more info text or call me at : 618-340-5905
Thanks for all your cooperation in this matter.

Patrick Davis - AQHA Tattooer

All racing, training and stabled Quarter Horses are required to have a negative Equine Piroplasmosis test in order to enter the grounds at the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino.

***The Veterinary Department of Indiana Grand has determined to implement new measures in requiring ALL Quarter Horses to be tested on the grounds and ALL Quarter Horses shipping in for training or racing for Equine Piroplasmosis. Please be advised the test results must be turned in by May 23, 2017. No entry will be accepted for a race if the test results are not on file. The test is required every 6 months.

For further enquires or information please contact Dr. Bill Doig, Dr. Michael Hardy or Dr. Charles Kalbat Indiana Grand.
*** Any Marks on a Horse's Neck that can be construed as a needle puncture during pre-race exams by the track vet may be scratched and will be sent to the test barn to be tested. The Horse will then be placed on the Vet's list until the test clears by the order of the Stewards.****
