Quarter Horse Hair Testing Policy

The IHRC enacted this hair testing policy to ensure that the abuse of clenbuterol and albuterol or other beta agonist substances do not endanger the equine or human athlete, and do not degrade the public trust in Indiana's racing product.

Equine Piroplasmosis Testing

All racing, training and stabled Quarter Horses are required to have a negative Equine Piroplasmosis test in order to enter the grounds at the Indiana Grand Racing & Casino. No entry will be accepted for a race if the test results are not on file.
